We strive to enrich our community through art and civic engagement. We seek to give underrepresented artists and others a voice in Salt Lake City.
THE GALLERY
We are dedicated to featuring works of art by artists who engage community in their work, are from underrepresented communities, or use art as a tool for social change.
We have presented visual art, writing, and performance poetry from schools, local artists, and professional artists known on a national scale. The Mestizo Gallery is also part of the popular Salt Lake Gallery Stroll every third Friday of the month from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM.
Recent exhibits have followed the overarching themes of displacement and gentrification: “March for Our Lives,” “Youth Custody,” “Tower of Stories.”

Host a Gathering, Meeting, or Event in La Galeria de Mestizo
Our events and meeting space options for large groups are on pause during the pandemic. However, we are happy to host a small group of eight people or less for two hours in our Fine Arts Gallery. We simply ask that you do not bring outside food and drink and that you support Mestizo Coffeehouse with a food or drink purchase.
